Route description

This walk begins on Sapotskin’s eastern side, follows the rural road towards Ostashanka Stream and returns along almost the same way. The road crossing near the stream connects open countryside with the woodland side, offering a short pause within the authorised passage. Roads, surrounding greenery and changing rural scenery form most of the outing. This version stays outside Sapotskin’s historic centre and does not reach the Augustów Canal locks. The return is included, while churches, palace visits and the canal bank require independent additions. Attention to cars on ordinary rural roads matters even where the terrain looks gentle.
