Route description

Jindi-Bel lies between river valleys on the northern side of Kichik-Alay. The crossing begins near the Akart and Gezart system, climbs over a mountain spur and reaches the Jash. Though compact by longer-trek standards, it offers a clear change of valley as the water drains in different directions on either side of the saddle. Make the pass an unhurried goal for the day, allowing time for both approaches. It introduces the local side valleys without continuing to distant high glaciers. Discuss the return and suitable meeting points with your guide before setting out.
