Route description

The Lake Traverse reveals Rosa Khutor from its northern woodland side, with Upper Lake and Lower Lake providing the main water stops. These resort reservoirs serve winter slope operations rather than being wild high-mountain lakes. Their setting is interesting in its own right: the walk shows how woodland scenery and a working mountain resort meet beside the water. Maly Rozakhutorovsky Stream and Krepostnoy Stream also pass beside the selected corridor. This version returns towards Mountain Olympic Village, but its beginning and ending do not coincide exactly. Choose the final approach to your departure place separately on the current open layout. Nearby farms and animal parks have individual operating arrangements, and admission to each is not automatic. Do not assume a return on Wolf Rock lift: boarding, any intermediate exit and lift operation require separate confirmation.
