Route description

The sound of Claw Waterfall opens this woodland walk. From the cascade, the path heads west towards the Bear Gates entrance area. This is a separate waterfall outing near Pikhtovaya Polyana; Bzerpinsky Ledge’s longer mountain itineraries belong to another trip. Pause on firm ground beside the water, then follow the wooded passage towards your agreed exit. The waterfall start requires a separate approach, so confirm the permitted branch and practical direction with the administration first. Once those arrangements are clear, the outing offers a small natural destination without a rush to neighbouring summits.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Reaching the waterfall start involves a separate mountain approach. Check the descent and exit before taking children; wet stones remain hazardous beside a small cascade. Pets are prohibited across the reserve boundary, while the waterfall branch’s specific rules require confirmation. Riding and stroller use are not recommended on the wooded water approach.

Nearby

Bzerpinsky Ledge, Tabunnaya South and Bzerpi Peak are outside this waterfall section. They require separate mountain planning and current authorisation. Claw Waterfall is also distinct from the mountain summit sharing its name: this visit concerns falling water rather than an ascent.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
A regular service directly to the waterfall start is unconfirmed. The neighbouring mountain itinerary’s official passport describes a cable-car ascent to Pikhtovaya Polyana; agree a permitted walking approach from the upper station to this waterfall branch separately. Check current lift hours and the return descent with the operator.
By car
Permitted private vehicle access directly to the waterfall is unconfirmed. Arrange the lower journey at the resort, then take an agreed ascent and walking approach. Do not rely on driving along the woodland path.
Parking
Vehicle parking directly beside the waterfall is unconfirmed. Establish lawful arrangements for your selected lower approach with the resort before travelling.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски View the cascade from firm ground, keeping clear of wet ledges and the falling flow. Rain, high water or ice may require postponement. Confirm this separate woodland branch’s access beforehand: permission for a neighbouring mountain itinerary does not establish permission for every side path. Within the reserve, respect the swimming prohibition and visitor rules.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 55 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow roughly one and a half to two and a half hours for the one-way passage from the waterfall towards the entrance area, including cautious walking and the cascade stop. A return outing takes about three to five hours. Add the separate approach to the waterfall start, resort ascent and descent, and a margin before your chosen lift closes.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry, snow-free day with moderate water flow. The neighbouring mountain paths’ broad summer and autumn season does not establish daily access to this waterfall branch. Check its opening, woodland conditions and forecast; frost quickly makes a wet bank hazardous.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear and poles.
Rain protection, a warm layer and dry socks.
Drinking water, food and a rubbish bag.
Agreed-approach map, phone, spare power and required permissions.
