Route description

This viewing walk from Milky Way explores the southern side of Abishira-Akhuba above Arkhyz resort. The upper platform introduces the mountain surroundings, and the continuation gives changing views beyond the station itself. This version ends lower down beside the Green Planet lift line instead of returning to Milky Way. Before setting out, confirm the current walking corridor and the continuation back to the lower resort settlement.

Bus travel reaches the lower centre, followed by a lift journey to the start. With children, assess the entire walk and its return arrangements; shorter official trails’ conditions do not automatically apply. A stroller is unsuitable. Bike routes on the slope have separate rules. Dog access and reliable coverage along the whole walk are unverified.

Nearby

The Alan Path and Romantics Trail are separate official options with different return arrangements. Choose one if the information centre cannot confirm this viewing passage. Fedoseyev Pass and Dinnik Peak are higher up and are not encountered on the walk beside Green Planet.

Without a car
The resort lists a scheduled bus from Cherkessk to Romantik; check current services and your return beforehand. Use a walking ticket for the Milky Way lift from the lower centre. Confirm how to return from the Green Planet area before beginning: the walk’s ending is not a verified boarding station.
By car
Drive to the lower Romantik service centre and reach the mountain beginning by lift. Vehicle access along the viewing walk is unverified. Ask the information centre about open southern-slope walking directions and the exit from the ending; nearby maintenance roads and bike routes do not replace a permitted walking path.
Parking
Visitor parking is provided around the lower Romantik centre. Check current conditions, charges and available spaces using the signs on arrival. Leave your vehicle in an authorised place for the whole outing and plan how to return to it from the slope.
