Route description

This version reaches Fedoseyev Pass from the Milky Way upper platform, following the Path of Time direction. Leaving the resort below, it climbs the Abishira-Akhuba slope towards the saddle. Clear weather reveals Turye and Burnoye lakes on the other side of the ridge. Geological information boards add a glimpse into the Earth’s distant past. The climb ends at the pass; plan the return to the lift separately.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Climb from a resort platform to a real mountain pass and look beyond the Abishira-Akhuba ridge. The lakes across it are part of the panorama rather than extra destinations on this outing. It suits walkers who have tried nearby paths and want a more substantial climb with a clearly defined lift-side start.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Bus travel reaches Romantik, followed by a valid walking ticket and lift journey. The resort recommends previous mountain experience; teenagers need adult accompaniment and a conditions-based assessment. The trail is unsuitable for a stroller or ordinary cycling. Check dog access separately. The passport lists MTS and MegaFon coverage, without guaranteeing every operator’s signal.

Nearby

Turye and Burnoye can be seen from the pass in clear weather, but this version excludes descending to their shores. Dinnik Peak needs a separate upper continuation. The shorter path from the Orbit upper station starts elsewhere; its conditions and duration do not replace planning the climb from Milky Way.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The resort’s official website lists a scheduled bus from Cherkessk to Romantik. Check current services and the return departure before travelling, without relying on older published times. From the lower centre, use a walking ticket for the Milky Way lift. Plan both the bus journey and the last lift descent.
By car
Drive to the lower Romantik resort settlement, using its service centre on Gornaya Street as the reference point. The walk begins at the upper lift platform; vehicle access to the pass is not part of the outing. Check the trail’s opening and Milky Way operation before buying a ticket, especially after strong wind or changing weather.
Parking
Visitor parking is provided around the lower Romantik resort centre. Follow current signs to an authorised area and confirm charges, availability and its conditions on arrival. Leave your vehicle below and use the lift to reach the beginning.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски A high lift station shortens the approach but leaves a steep mountain climb. Assess rocks, snow and visibility on the upper section. Wind and changing weather are more noticeable on the ridge. Turn back before the pass if storms, fog or ice threaten. The service road at the beginning does not establish permission to enter operating bike or maintenance trails.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 13 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Begin after lift opening and reserve a separate part of the day for climbing and returning. Check the latest trail-start time and final downhill boarding because operations can change. Keep the pass stop short enough for an unhurried return to Milky Way. Continuing towards the lakes or Dinnik Peak requires another plan.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The resort passport gives a summer operating season from early June to early October. Actual opening depends on snow clearance and weather, so check with the information centre before setting out. Winter operation is not provided for this trail. Wind protection and warm layers are useful at the pass even in midsummer.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear for the mountain climb
Drinking water and food for returning
Windproof or waterproof layer and warm clothing
Sun hat, sunglasses and sun protection
Poles if helpful on the descent
An approach map, charged phone and power bank
Torch and personal first-aid kit
A rubbish bag
