Route description

The Khadzhokh circuit reveals Kamennomostsky’s surroundings from both banks of the Belaya. It first passes through Mishoko Gorge towards Una-Koz, where cliff edges rise above the river and cave entrances and natural limestone passages lie beneath them. Dakhovskaya provides a useful pause between the journey’s two sides. The return follows Rufabgo: the lower waterfall path gives way to harder approaches towards Love Bowl and the upper Maiden Braids cascades. Sail Rock and Cat’s Eye Cave add stone arches and tunnels to the sound of water. Khadzhokh Gorge, the Belaya’s narrow corridor beside the village, completes the journey. Allow time at each stop: short side visits and returns reveal far more than a rush to close the whole circuit.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The carrier publishes Maykop–Khadzhokh services and connections through Dakhovskaya; check your specific departure before travelling. Select individual equipped visitor areas for children and assess the whole circuit against age, experience and slope conditions. Dog admission at each visitor attraction is unconfirmed. Fords, caves and steep paths are unsuitable for riding or stroller use throughout.

Nearby

The Savranskaya cable car allows a separate shorter Una-Koz visit, but riding it is not an obligatory part of the walking circuit. Cossack Stone, Dakhovskoye Lake and the historic Dakhovskaya Bridge need separate approaches. Visit Wish Cave near the upper station only using currently authorised equipped approaches; further underground passages are not automatically included. Continuing beyond Love Bowl needs a separate technical plan.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The Adygea Routes carrier publishes Maykop–Khadzhokh buses and services through Kamennomostsky and Dakhovskaya. The complete circuit begins and ends in Kamennomostsky; confirm the stop, current departure and return with the carrier. Dakhovskaya can serve as an agreed first-stage finish if the complete circuit is unsuitable.
By car
Finish driving in Kamennomostsky and connect your chosen vehicle arrangements to the village start. The author also describes an alternative entry from a vehicle area beside the Rufabgo pedestrian bridge, but starting there changes the sightseeing order; confirm that area’s current arrangements separately. Do not plan driving on footpath ledges or waterfall paths.
Parking
The regional government page confirms vehicle parking at the Khadzhokh Gorge visitor attraction. It provides a possible lower point for an agreed alternative start with a village approach; confirm capacity, payment and overnight vehicle arrangements with the attraction. Parking directly beside the original ticket-office start remains unconfirmed.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 1406 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Mishoko and upper Rufabgo involve water crossings: avoid fords and narrow-channel approaches in flood or after heavy rain. The equipped visitor path does not extend to every upper cascade. Una-Koz has slippery traverses, cliff edges and rockfall exposure. Carry a torch before entering caves, avoiding shafts and narrow passages. Cat’s Eye Cave’s upper opening is a dangerous karst pit. Respect current fences, holiday-base access and landslide warnings; an older description does not establish present permission. Do not plan swimming beneath waterfalls or in the narrow gorge.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 10 h 59 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Recommend 2–3 days for the complete circuit with careful sightseeing. The author publishes 1–3 days and divides it into two river-bank stages. Day 1 — Kamennomostsky, Mishoko, Una-Koz, cave side visits and Dakhovskaya; allow a full walking day and reserve village accommodation. Day 2 — return through Rufabgo, the upper cascades if water is safe, Cat’s Eye Cave and Khadzhokh Gorge. For three days, arrange additional accommodation or a transport division of the second stage beforehand; avoid an unauthorised waterfall camp. Only experienced walkers should choose a single-day circuit, reducing lengthy visits and preserving a daylight margin.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry, snow-free conditions with moderate water. Spring floods and heavy rain particularly affect the fords and upper waterfall approaches. Carry enough drinking water in heat, and allow for shorter days and wet leaves in autumn. Winter ice beside cascades and on rocky paths may require abandoning the complete circuit.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear and poles.
Individual torches; protective clothing and gloves for caves.
Drinking water, food, rain protection and a warm layer.
Side-path map, phone, spare power and first aid.
Payment for visitor attractions; establish current prices beforehand.
