Route description

This short version begins on the upper Eagle Rocks side near Prometheus Sculpture, then follows rocky woodland path to an Agura-side junction. The natural stop lies at the beginning: examine the gorge-facing limestone edge and the sculpture’s familiar mythic subject. A separate small rocky portion also belongs to this version, but its connection is unestablished and does not create a ready circuit. The author intended cycling, although present recreational-site rules prohibit bicycles. Eagle Rocks is closed as an ecological path, and Agura Gorge has a weather closure until favourable conditions. Complete cycling passage cannot presently be planned. Agree any permitted territorial walk and return before arrival.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Reach the high Eagle Rocks start separately and check present permission. Children need rocky-path experience and supervision beside drops. Original cycling intent is not current authorization: the park prohibits bicycles and dogs at recreational objects. A stroller is unsuitable; continuous reception is unknown.

Nearby

Agura waterfalls need their own gorge outing with reopening confirmed. Eagle Rocks Cave Shaft and Akhunskaya Cave are unconfirmed stops here. Big Akhun is a separate direction; admission inside its closed tower is not promised.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The park names Staraya Matsesta Bus Stop as lower Eagle Rocks arrival. Check current services, then agree an independent walk to the high start. Resolve the return and departure from the Agura-side junction beforehand, accounting for closures.
By car
The lower Eagle Rocks Checkpoint approach is described via Matsesta and Alleya Cheltenham. Check present road availability and the permitted transfer endpoint with the park. The upper rocky path is not a vehicle continuation.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Arrange lawful lower-side storage beforehand; the high cliff start establishes neither a parking place nor permission to drive there.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The narrow rocky path is unsuitable for an inexperienced independent bicycle descent. Original cycling intent does not override present recreational-site prohibition. Confirm permitted territory and removal of the Agura-side weather closure before walking. Avoid a direct slope connection to the separate rocky portion or any approach to cave shafts.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 18 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished Present complete permission, the separate small portion’s connection and return are unconfirmed. Internal-path time excludes the lower Eagle Rocks approach. Agree the permitted walking portion and complete return plan before travelling.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry ground and settled weather only after permitted access is confirmed. Rain makes stone slippery; strong wind increases branch and rock hazards. Check the Agura Gorge weather closure separately instead of assuming seasonal availability.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Closed grippy footwear and wind/rain protection.
Water, food, separate approach/return map, headlamp and first aid.
