Route description
The selected direction runs from an upper Agura-side junction through woodland to Akhun Tower’s exterior. This is an internal ascending version: lower gorge arrival, waterfall visits and the return descent are excluded. Careful footing and permitted junctions matter along the woodland portion, before the 1936 limestone building appears at the end. View it only from open outside ground: the tower itself is closed for reconstruction, without access to its top platform. The author intended a mountain-bike version, although current recreational-site rules do not permit bicycles. Agura Gorge also has a published weather closure until favourable conditions. Open Akhun territory does not establish complete lower-side access. Agree the permitted start approach, woodland walk and upper departure before travelling.

The start is already at an upper gorge junction after an independent approach. Children need stamina for woodland ascent and uneven-path experience. Original cycling intent does not establish complete current bicycle permission: recreational objects prohibit bicycles and dogs. A stroller is unsuitable; continuous reception is unestablished.
Nearby
Akhunskaya Cave lies beside the woodland portion, without a confirmed equipped ordinary visit. Agura Waterfalls and Devil’s Pool need their own lower gorge outing. Eagle Rocks and Prometheus occupy another upper branch; none is included in this woodland ascent to the tower.

The park names Sputnik as lower bus arrival for the Agura side. Check present services. This is not delivery to the selected internal junction: the gorge approach requires removal of restrictions to be confirmed. Arrange upper departure after the tower-side finish separately.
By car
The official Big Akhun road leaves A 147 near Sputnik towards the upper tower side. It can serve an agreed upper transfer or departure, but does not deliver you to the lower woodland start. Vehicle passage along the internal path is unavailable.
Parking
The park names Big Akhun’s former helicopter-platform vehicle area before a separate tower approach. Check current road permission, terms and spaces. A vehicle left uphill requires a separate permitted arrival at the lower start.
