Route description

The selected version explores a small cliff-side portion of Akhshtyr Gorge. Its main path climbs from lower woodland towards internal upper junctions; a separate short branch reaches a gorge-facing viewpoint. The interest lies in the Mzymta valley cut between limestone slopes, without a compulsory cave or Skypark visit. Other small portions belong to managed areas and working facilities whose perimeters are not independent walking circuits. Check connections and return separately. The park published closure of Akhshtyr Ridge as a recreational object, alongside separate territorial visiting rules. Confirm the exact permitted approach and viewing side before travelling. The open Ship Rocks picnic area is elsewhere and does not authorize this passage.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Confirm current territorial rules first; the published recreational-object closure cannot be ignored. Rocky ground and the cliff edge require grippy footwear and child supervision. Avoid direct slope connections between short branches, walking around working buildings as circuits or continuing to the waterfall without a separate checked plan. Postpone after rain or in strong wind.

How much time to allow

Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished Complete permitted connections, lower approach and return are unconfirmed. After agreeing an allowed walking portion, calculate arrival and gorge viewing separately. The larger club waterfall/lake/bridge circuit allowance does not apply.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry ground and settled weather with confirmed permission. Rain reduces limestone grip; strong wind is unsafe beside the cliffs. Another seasonal picnic area’s operation does not establish summer or winter access to this internal passage.

What to bring
