Route description

The selected direction begins partway along the upper Matsesta-side approach. It passes the Eagle Rocks cliff area and Prometheus Sculpture before continuing along a rocky woodland path to an Agura-side junction. Compare the sculpture’s breaking-chains subject with the limestone edge on which it stands; Eagle Rocks and their outlook are the natural stop here. Return to the lower arrival is excluded. The park currently labels the ecological path closed while describing separate territorial access; Agura Gorge also has a weather closure until favourable conditions. Complete passage between the sides is therefore unconfirmed. Agree the permitted walking portion and removal of restrictions first. Agura waterfalls and cave interiors are not compulsory visits on this short upper direction.

Agura waterfalls and Devil’s Pool require their own gorge outing after reopening is confirmed. Big Akhun Tower is closed for reconstruction even when mountain territory is permitted. Eagle Rocks Cave Shaft is unsuitable as an addition to an ordinary walk.

By car
The official lower vehicle approach follows Matsesta and Alleya Cheltenham to the concrete Eagle Rocks Checkpoint road. Check present road permission and park restrictions. End vehicle travel at a permitted place, then approach the internal start separately.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Arrange lawful vehicle storage and current terms on the Matsesta side, including a separate return after the upper passage.
