Route description

From Șerbota the passage descends along the mountain spur to Negoiu hut. The open upper section reveals the character of Făgăraș through rocky ribs and deep mountain bowls, before the path returns towards scrub and woodland. Pause beside the older hut building near the finish: this mountain base helps explain how outings to neighbouring summits are organised. Follow the blue stripe carefully at junctions. The start is already high on the mountain, so the descent normally forms part of a prearranged mountain day, with the approach to Șerbota chosen separately.
