Route description

From Aibga village, the passage enters Waterfall river canyon, crosses towards Red Rock and joins the forest road above Krasnaya Polyana. This is a connection between the southern and northern sides of the mountain massif, rather than a resort-village stroll to a nearby viewpoint. Water and close slopes shape the canyon section; a later saddle changes the direction of the valley. The forest road then descends towards the hydrostation area. Arrange river crossings, an open woodland passage and the final meeting beforehand. Chernichnaya trail leaves the hydrostation in a different high-mountain direction and is not this exit from Aibga.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Arrange arrival in Aibga in advance. This is a full woodland mountain crossing through a water canyon to a different exit; children, a stroller and bicycle are excluded from the recommended version. Dog access and reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Bezymyanny is in a different direction from Aibga and needs a separate walk. Chernichnaya climbs from the hydrostation towards the upper resort area; adding it changes the entire day plan. Book village accommodation separately.

Getting there

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 632 м.
SurfaceImproved surface 41%, Dirt 12%, Unknown 47%.
Риски Check every river crossing and woodland section. Rain can change the canyon and eroded dirt road enough to affect the whole passage. Avoid using the streambed as a substitute for a missing path. Confirm national-park permission and Aibga border requirements, carry documents and arrange a message or meeting plan if you turn back.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 6–8 h
With stops | 8–10 h This covers the complete Aibga-to-Krasnaya-Polyana-hydrostation crossing. Allow 1 day of walking with an early start; the local author also recommends a full day. Arrival in Aibga and onward travel from the hydrostation are additional. If the canyon or mountain connection is closed, cancel the through plan rather than improvise a water shortcut.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry snow-free conditions with confirmed through access. Spring snowmelt and heavy rain worsen the water section. Start early from the village; autumn daylight may be insufficient for a relaxed crossing with delays.
