Route description

From the road area near Erjavčeva Koča, the selected approaches lead beneath Prisojnik’s northern slopes. Larches, low pine scrub and the seasonal Zgornji Žlebi watercourse bring the walk closer to the rocky setting of the Kopiščar path. Branches and return passages explore lower connections before more demanding mountain terrain. This variation finishes on a mountain approach. Prednje Okno and Prisojnik’s summit require further climbing beyond it, while the return to the road is planned separately.

Nearby

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Published summer services between Kranjska Gora and Bovec serve the Erjavčeva Koča road area. The 2026 timetable ends in September and does not establish October operation. Check a current service or prearrange a transfer. The selected finish remains in the mountains, so add the return to the road separately.
By car
Take the pass road to the Erjavčeva Koča road area below the top of Vršič. The selected departure is here. Arrange a walking return to the vehicle after the mountain finish. Follow current road restrictions and signs; upper public parking rules do not automatically establish hut-area conditions.
Parking
Parking at Erjavčeva Koča is described in a primary mountain guide and checked against the present mapped designation. Confirm current rules, charges and availability on arrival. Upper Vršič public parking conditions do not automatically apply here. Keep the road and entrances clear.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 42 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The full time for this particular sequence of approaches and returns is not established. Reserve part of the daylight day with allowances for demanding places and the road exit. A direct approach’s timing or the complete Prednje Okno ascent does not describe this variation. Start with a clear return plan.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry, snow-free mountain period with clear visibility. Snow can persist beneath northern slopes after the road area clears. Rain and early autumn ice make conditions harder. Check current closures separately from historical path descriptions.
