Route description

From lower Colfosco the ride passes through Corvara into the Rü Tort valley corridor. Mountain walls remain above the villages while the route gradually approaches water and the wooded valley side. It continues near La Villa and follows the lower Gran Ega side towards Badia. The mountain streams connecting the settlements are the particular natural interest; examine them from the existing path. This selected version is for cycling and finishes on the Badia side without an included Colfosco return. Repeated stretches of individual lanes are retained, so a short valley portion’s name does not describe the complete undertaking. Colfosco Animal Park lies near the start side, with its internal visit arranged independently. Confirm permission for every selected cycling portion beforehand.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - Partially With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data This cycling direction finishes in another part of the valley; arrange bicycle delivery and return separately. Children need confident control, endurance and supervision at crossings. Check every portion’s permission against current signs: the neighbouring winter walking card is closed and does not confirm the complete cycling direction’s readiness. A stroller does not match the selected travel format. Dog rules and continuous reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Colfosco Animal Park requires a separate approach to its internal walking circuit. Saint Vigilius Church, Colz Castle and La Villa’s Assumption Church lie on independent side approaches. Pisciadù Waterfalls and Sompunt Lake are excluded from this valley direction.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map

Parking is unconfirmed. Check vehicle storage in Colfosco for the complete ride and return. Campsite parking or the animal-park approach is not confirmed as parking for this cycling direction.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 199 м.
SurfaceGravel 35%, Fine gravel 8%, Asphalt 6%, Unknown 49%.
Риски Slow down near walkers, local entrances and road crossings. Wet gravel, leaves and unexpected oncoming users require a braking reserve. Avoid unestablished riverbank shortcuts. Follow current signs and temporary restrictions; a neighbouring excursion description does not authorize the complete independent ride.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 1–1.5 h
With stops | 2–3 h This editorial allowance covers the selected valley bicycle direction with its repeated portions. Add the animal park interiors, church-side approaches and Colfosco return separately. The Corvara → La Villa winter walking allowance does not time this ride.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Plan ordinary independent riding on dry snow-free ground. The operator’s winter programme uses particular equipment and supervision; it cannot automatically be repeated across the complete selected corridor in either season. Check grip separately after rain and early frost.
