Route description

At the northern woodland edge of Mils, this outing links the Untritt-side paths with a lower junction near the village edge. The supplied direction first descends beside a small biotope pond, returns towards the upper woodland, then follows another arc back to the lower junction. It finishes below its starting point, so add the return to the upper start separately. The principal stop is intimate: water and waterside vegetation invite a slower look at a living habitat beside the forest path. Grünegg names the Mils surroundings; there is no surviving castle on this outing. Treat it as a calm exploration of the woodland edge, with the arc sequence and return approach chosen beforehand.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Exact public arrival at the upper forest start is unconfirmed. Walk calmly with children and observe the pond from the path. Uneven forest surfacing prevents reliable stroller passage. Cycling permission, dog rules and continuous reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Mils village centre and the Three Oaks site need separate approaches beyond the woodland arcs. Hirschenlust Grünegg hunting lodge no longer survives; explore its history in regional material rather than planning to inspect a building here.

Vehicle arrival belongs on the external Mils side. The forest paths have restricted vehicle access; connect the upper start and lower finish with an independently planned walking approach.
