Route description

This footpath connects a woodland junction above Stechelberg with Im Boden in the rear Lauterbrunnen valley. Beyond the first bend, the way becomes a narrow passage between trees rather than a village-street stroll. A quiet pace suits it: notice the changing wooded slope, listen towards the valley and allow pauses in the shade. The Im Boden signpost helps choose the next direction, but does not complete the whole outing from Stechelberg. Use the segment when a quiet woodland link fits an already planned exploration of the lower valley. Arrange the approach, continuation and return beforehand: mountain inns, waterfalls and upper alpine pastures belong to other directions.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - With caution By bike - No data With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The forest start requires an independent approach from Stechelberg. Children need to manage the mountain path and the complete return. Keep dogs on leads in the protected area. Cycling permission and continuous reception are unconfirmed; the unsurfaced path is unreliable for a stroller.

Nearby

Trachsellauenen and its mountain inn need a separate valley continuation. Tschingelhorn stands higher on another mountain branch; its 2026 season has ended. Choose rear-valley waterfalls through an independently checked outing.
