Route description

From the Holewang signpost, the way turns onto the wooded side of the slopes above Grindelwald. A mountain road comes first; a gravel passage then leads away from open ground into the trees. The interest lies in this change of setting: high meadows fall behind, quieter bends appear in the woodland, and occasional openings recall the broad valley below. The segment ends at the upper Aellfluh junction. Descend separately to the actual viewpoint; it is outside this passage. Link the segment with an agreed outing between Holewang and the lower paths, allowing enough time to return. Bort and its cableway lie elsewhere and are not an automatic finish.
