Route description

From upper Ordesa, the journey descends through Soaso into the valley, then continues toward Bujaruelo. The day brings together distinct places: the Clavijas de Soaso rock passage, the canyon descent and the surroundings of San Nicolás de Bujaruelo. This expanded version includes returns over some sections and starts below Góriz refuge itself. Splitting it into stages leaves time for upper Ordesa and an unhurried arrival in the Bujaruelo valley. Its final point is in the valley-approach area, so agree the precise pickup or overnight location beforehand.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 1666 м.
SurfaceDirt / grass 25%, Gravel 10%, Dirt 3%, Unknown 55%.
Риски Clavijas de Soaso requires careful movement on rocky ground; wet rock or snow changes the conditions. The prolonged descent and repeated sections add fatigue. Agree a permitted Ordesa overnight site under current rules rather than choosing an arbitrary camp.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 2 days
With stops | 2–3 days Allow this for the expanded walk with repeated sections from upper Ordesa to the Bujaruelo area. The direct Góriz–San Nicolás stage in the official booklet is shorter and estimated at eight hours. This version starts below Góriz itself; plan its approach and the final exit separately.
