Route description

On the Shtangeev Trail, Yalta stays below while the walk takes shape around the Vodopadnaya River and rocky stops. After the lower crossing, attention moves to Krestovaya Rock and the narrow Devil’s Path. Slow down there to choose each step calmly and examine the mountain slope. The finish at Stavrikaysky Ridge Viewpoint invites a pause above Yalta’s mountain amphitheatre. This variant ends at the ridge lookout and excludes a separate ascent of Stavri-Kaya summit. Distinguish that neighbouring summit from the walk’s conclusion. The trail belongs to the history of the Crimean Mountain Club, but visiting today needs current arrangements: official passage is permitted only with an instructor-guide. Agree the return beforehand rather than turning the upper pause into an improvised continuation on another trail.
