Route description

This version leaves Orekhovo’s roadside for the forest and ends at Lembolovo Railway Platform. Around Orekhovsky reserve, sandy hills, pine and spruce sections form a characteristic Karelian Isthmus landscape. A calm pace lets you observe changing light, the forest floor and surrounding trees. The selected transfer crosses actual Olonets Stream, also known as Hoikanoja. It is a specific forest watercourse rather than a promised lake beach. Near the ending is the 44th Aviation Regiment memorial; use only a permitted approach for closer observation. Choose the return train and confirm current forest passages beforehand. The beginning and ending differ. This version does not add the full long Orekhovo walking/biking circuit or every neighbouring lake.

The distant roadside Lembolovo Stronghold ensemble should not be confused with the aircrew memorial near this railway ending.

Without a car
The operator confirms Orekhovo and Lembolovo on the Priozersk direction, with Finnish-station arrival and other stops according to the chosen train. Orekhovo needs a separate permitted approach to the walking beginning. Check the visiting-date timetable, actual Lembolovo stop and return service; railway lines are not walking paths.
By car
Arrange driving to the selected station’s roadside. Continue through natural areas on foot: Orekhovsky reserve’s current rules restrict motorised movement and parking. Avoid using old descriptions to drive forest paths. Ending at Lembolovo needs independent vehicle recovery.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. A specific space at the station ends is unestablished. Find out where parking is permitted and agree recovery first. Do not leave the vehicle in forest clearings.
