Route description

Kurgolovo’s ethnographic trail combines pine woodland with a small outdoor interpretation walk. From the roadside entrance it leads to the western stop at Kurgolovskoye Lake, returns along a familiar approach and continues around the forest loop. Pause beside the water, view the shore and look at the unusual swings installed as part of the trail project. Specific stories accompany the woodland: traditional dress, occupations, crafts and homes of northwestern peoples. These are actual interpretive boards, inviting adults and children to read together and relate the stories to their surroundings. An installation made from old skis adds a modern detail, while the Botanist Post encourages closer attention to vegetation near the final section. Some equipment incorporates recycled material, offering a useful conversation about caring for a woodland place. Enjoy an unhurried family outing with lake pauses and board reading, then return to the same entrance. Ground paths and damp areas call for suitable footwear even on a short walk.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The trail is intended for different seasons, but dry weather usually suits ground paths better. Assess puddles and hollows in spring and after rain. Summer needs water and insect protection, autumn reserve daylight. In winter check decking, ice, clearance and equipment availability; avoid replacing the walk with a lake crossing.
