Route description

At the Demidov estate in Taitsy, history appears among ordinary park paths. From the western approach, this small circuit passes a guest wing and the Gothic Gates, reaches the Humpback Bridge and cascade area, then circles eastern parkland and returns beside the manor house. Old structures and water crossings emerge between trees: take time to examine the details. Alexander Demidov developed the palace-and-park ensemble, which later housed medical institutions. Today the outing explores a historic landscape under conservation. View the manor externally; interiors are unpromised. Beside the Humpback Bridge, use only the currently authorised crossing: the map marks the old passage closed and identifies a temporary crossing nearby. Respect barriers and designated diversions when work affects the house-side area.
