Route description

From Zaostrovye, woodland roads and paths lead to Lake Ladoga beside the northern part of Cape Rogovoy. Settlement and forest sections come first, followed by the coastal setting. Pause beside the water: the wide lake and changing shore give the day a different atmosphere from an ordinary woodland walk. This selected version covers the shore side and returns to Zaostrovye. Much of the woodland approach repeats, so reserve energy for coming back from the start of the day. Use permitted shore passages near the cape; reaching the outermost tip and neighbouring bays is not required for this outing. Choose clear weather with a suitable wind forecast, take rain protection and leave time for the lake pause. The shore invites you to linger, but quiet conditions and unchanged sandy paths cannot be guaranteed. The return ends near the settlement-side beginning, slightly apart from the original entrance.

By car
Drive to a permitted settlement roadside in Zaostrovye, then continue on foot. Assess approach condition and restrictions before travelling. The woodland approach, sandy shore and cape are not established as ordinary-car access. The selected outing returns to the settlement; arrange vehicle storage separately.
