Route description

From Novogireyevo the cycling loop opens towards Moscow’s eastern edge and Balashikha. Water provides several pauses: Lebedyansky Pond on the Izmaylovo side and Yellow Pond farther south. Woodland and urban roads eventually lead to Pekhra-Yakovlevskoye, where you can set the bicycle aside and look around an old estate at walking pace. The ensemble associated with the Golitsyn family gives the ride historical depth, while the Transfiguration Church with its dome and two bell towers becomes a distinctive architectural landmark. The variety of stops is the attraction: water, estate architecture and the return into the city form a substantial independent day. Keep a steady pace from the beginning so there is time to enjoy each place.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The complete loop suits a trained cyclist comfortable on mixed surfaces and around urban traffic. Its starting side is beside Novogireyevo railway halt. The full outing is too substantial for an ordinary trip with a child or stroller; dog rules and whole-route reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Gorenki’s large estate pond survives elsewhere in the surrounding area; save additional historical visits for a separate day. Pekhra-Yakovlevskoye itself merits an unhurried walk around accessible facades and park paths if there is insufficient time for the full cycling loop.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The start is beside Novogireyevo railway halt. Select a current train and account for bicycle carriage. The similarly named metro station is a different transport facility, with separate bicycle rules. Kuchino and Kupavna railway points encountered along the ride may serve a prepared shorter exit after checking the correct platform and timetable.
By car
Approach the start from the urban Novogireyevo side and leave the vehicle in a lawful space before riding. The loop returns to the same area. Forest entrances and estate avenues should not become part of the drive; inspect access arrangements for individual grounds locally.
Parking
A dedicated car park for this loop’s start has not been confirmed. Use lawful urban parking after checking restrictions, payment and the railway approach. Visiting an estate does not establish permitted parking immediately beside a historic building.

What to expect

Places
Lebedyansky Pond A pond on the Izmaylovo part of the loop and a stop identified in the original publisher’s route, suited to a pause before continuing east.
Pekhra-Yakovlevskoye Estate An estate associated with the Golitsyn princes beside the Pekhorka; take an unhurried exterior look from accessible paths, without assuming entry to every building.
Transfiguration Church at Pekhra-Yakovlevskoye An active church in the estate ensemble, whose dome and two bell towers make the stop particularly recognisable; observe worship arrangements separately.
Yellow Pond A named pond on the southern side of the ride, where a brief waterside pause helps divide a substantial loop into manageable urban and woodland sections.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 133 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 47%, Artificial surface 4%, Dirt 2%, Unknown 41%.
Риски The ride combines urban roads, intersections and unpaved sections. Dismount on busy pond banks and beside the estate and church. After rain, woodland ground may require a different pace or a lawful alternative passage. Do not cut through closed grounds or assume entry to all estate buildings. If tired, use a railway exit prepared in advance rather than continuing into darkness.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 6 h 55 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow roughly 6–8 hours for the full cycling loop with brief stops; a thorough estate visit or slow ground increases this. One-day plan: start early at Novogireyevo, pause on the Izmaylovo side, ride the eastern section with Pekhra-Yakovlevskoye, continue through the southern pond sections and return to the start. Choose a backup exit and return train beforehand rather than relying on an improvised shortcut.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather and a generous daylight allowance, usually from late spring to early autumn. Summer heat calls for water and breaks; rain changes woodland surfaces. Late autumn may provide too little daylight for the whole loop, and winter bicycle preparation of the complete route is unconfirmed.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода

Water, food and clothing for the forecast.
A spare tube or repair kit, pump and multitool.
A downloaded map, charged phone and power bank.
A lock for brief stops while viewing the estate grounds.
