Route description

The walk from Lvovsky to Molodi halt takes a broad woodland arc. A settlement street soon gives way to a path beneath trees, followed by alternating deciduous and mixed woods, clearings and open places. Remains of an earlier fence occur near the beginning; farther on, the surroundings become less urban and include small stream valleys. The most inviting pauses follow the change from woodland shade to open country. Near Yurovo Field, the course reaches an unnamed Treshnya tributary valley and then follows the field’s eastern edge. Woodland roads and winding paths resume beyond it, skirting Sandarovo’s garden side. Towards Zmeyovka, a Rozhayka gully appears, followed by an elongated pond’s bank, bringing a quiet waterside episode before the final rural continuation. The last portion follows road and field surroundings to Molodi platform’s southern end. This is a complete woodland hike between two railway locations. The estate, church and battle memorial lie farther away in the village; explore them separately after preparing your return or allowing additional daylight.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The hike links Lvovskaya Station and Molodi halt after checking present services and permitted exits. Children accustomed to extended woodland walking need supervision beside ruts, wire remains, gullies and water. A stroller is unsuitable for uneven wet woodland passages. Cycling depends on separately assessed dry roads, with walking on difficult portions; a continuously convenient cycle route is unestablished. Dog rules and reliable reception throughout are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Molodi village’s estate, Resurrection Church, battle memorial and estate park require a separate continuation from the railway finish. The parish history connects the place with events in 1572; prepare church and estate visits and present access rules independently. Troitskoye’s festival is excluded, with programme and dates requiring separate checks. A woodland resting place near the tributary does not confirm camping or fire permission. The temporary tent structure in an old description is not verified as a surviving attraction. Skiing variants from the 66 km halt and the Stolbovaya finish belong to other outings.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Begin at Lvovskaya Station platform’s southern end on the western side. Finish at Molodi platform’s southern end on the Kursk railway direction. Check present trains, permitted exits and the last return beforehand. Intermediate Zhokhovo and Sandarovo endings require separate approaches and confirmed services. A Stolbovaya alternative also needs preparation: it changes the finish and is not an included return. Historical ticket-office hours and intervals are not present arrangements.
By car
Arrange permitted delivery to Lvovskaya’s western side and separate collection near Molodi halt. A vehicle left at the beginning needs its own return plan. Driving the selected woodland paths, stream banks and pond approaches is unestablished. Prepare an intermediate Sandarovo or Zmeyovka road meeting separately, keeping off closed territories and avoiding fields as parking.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Mapping identifies an area near Molodi halt, but present vehicle storage for the full hike or overnight is unestablished. Arrange Lvovskaya-side storage separately, accounting for the required western exit. Keep platform approaches, residents’ entrances and roads clear; collection does not authorize leaving a vehicle for an extended period.

Rozhayka before the Zmeyovka Pond Portion a wooded river valley on the approach to waterside surroundings. The selected course does not cross the Rozhayka itself.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 128 м.
SurfaceDirt / grass 28%, Dirt 10%, Gravel 1%, Unknown 62%.
Риски Remains of barbed wire occur beside the beginning woodland path. Use permitted passages, avoiding the active testing-ground perimeter and closed fences. Reassess damaged ruts and mud after rain: a dry-weather description does not guarantee dry roads. Check the Treshnya tributary road crossing and the eroded dam and gully passage on Sandarovo’s garden side. Avoid shortcuts through steep vegetation beside uneven woodland and banks. On the final rural portion, watch for vehicles and assess roads beside agricultural storage areas described historically by the author as manure storage. Use only permitted approaches to railway platforms.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 6–8 hours according to the author
With stops | Unestablished This reference applies to the selected woodland walk between platforms. Add separate time for arrival, field and pond pauses, wet-passage assessment and departure. Leave daylight particularly for the woods and final field. The Molodi village estate walk, Sandarovo or Zhokhovo exits and a changed Stolbovaya finish are excluded. An overnight stay is not planned for this outing.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry snow-free day after checking woodland ruts and streams. In autumn, Yurovo Field’s open edge complements deciduous woodland; hot conditions require water reserves and sun protection in the field. Reassess tributaries, the dam and bank approaches after rain or high water. The author describes winter passage, but present snow, icy uneven ground and ski paths need separate checks; do not walk on prepared ski trails.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear for woodland mud and uneven ruts, spare socks and rain protection.
Drinking water and food for the full outing; stream and pond drinking quality is unconfirmed.
Covered clothing for woodland and wire remains, plus insect, sun and cold protection.
Offline map, phone, battery reserve, torch and first-aid kit.
Poles if needed for balance on permitted uneven passages.
Checked rail departures and a prepared intermediate ending if shortening is needed.
