Route description

From Oktyabrsky, this walk passes through Lesnaya Opushka and approaches Makeyevka Pond. Pause by the water to notice the change from the town’s edge to Tomilinsky Forest Park, then continue along accessible paths towards the western exit. An unhurried pace suits the place: the attraction is this particular pond and a quiet passage through a park familiar to local residents, rather than a long checklist of sights. Part of Lesnaya Opushka has been improved, but the park area and neighbouring natural paths do not necessarily share the same conditions throughout. Use open passages and avoid assuming that every woodland section offers the facilities of the central paths. If you want to linger beside Makeyevka, decide beforehand how you will return to Oktyabrsky: the walk finishes on the other side of the forest park. A pause on the shore belongs naturally to the outing; entering the water does not, and swimming is not included.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Children need supervision at the pond and enough energy for the return. Continuous stroller access and current dog and cycling rules have not been confirmed. Improvement of part of the park does not establish these for the whole walk.

Nearby

Other areas of Tomilinsky Forest Park and the Volkushinsky quarry need separate planning. They are not part of this walk; check the approach, access and rules before extending your day.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Check current transport to the eastern start on the Oktyabrsky side and a separate service after the western exit. If you have not arranged a return journey, allow for walking back the same way; a complete transport connection has not been confirmed.
By car
Approach a permitted pedestrian entrance from Oktyabrsky. The car will remain on one side of the outing, so plan the walk back to it. Driving on park or woodland paths is not proposed.
Parking
Operation of a dedicated car park at the selected entrance has not been confirmed. Planning documents contain parking proposals, which do not establish that a facility is operating today. Ask park management or use an authorised city parking space.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
One way | Allow 1–1.5 hours with a pause at Makeyevka. With the return | Allow roughly 2–3 hours if walking back towards Oktyabrsky along the same way. Travel | Add the journey to the park and check any return transport in advance.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry days from late spring to autumn. Natural paths may need greater care after rain. In winter, inspect surfaces from dry land; the improved park area does not establish maintenance of the whole outing or safety of the ice.
