Route description

The passage from upper Kamenka reaches Chertovo Lake and then Chertovy Gate’s actual saddle. The lake supplies a quiet pause before crossing the divide between the Kamenka and Spuskovaya valleys. This separate walking variant ends there; choose a descent into Spuskovaya or a return to Kamenka beforehand. The open basin reveals the relationship between lake and pass, while clear weather and broad views remain uncertain. Reaching the remote start is an essential part of the journey. Plan the passage together with that approach, allowing for cold, rain and your eventual mountain exit.
