Route description

From the wooded Warm Lakes side, this outing heads towards Taltsinsky: through the lower river valley, then uphill to the Dance Floor viewpoint and Idol clearing. In clear weather the named viewpoint overlooks Taltsinsky and the Taltsinka valley. Higher up, the woodland steepens and large stones replace easy lakeside walking with a proper mountain approach. The ending lies beyond Idol clearing, before the complete cirque approach and summit ascent. Check connections between woodland sections and present-day crossings beforehand. Include return to the lower road in your own plan: the outward approach does not return you to transport.

Skazka, Izumrudnoye and Tyoploye lakes, Monomakh’s Hat and lakeside facilities require separate approaches; visiting their shores is not promised here. The cirque, Podushka camping area and Taltsinsky summit lie beyond the ending. Reaching them needs an independent, longer mountain plan.

Without a car
The suburban operator confirms the Irkutsk–Vydrino railway direction, although engineering work shortens some services. Select an operating train for your date. Vydrino requires separate onward delivery or walking to the lower Warm Lakes side; no regular public service directly to the forest departure is confirmed.
By car
Choose lower access from the Vydrino and Warm Lakes side. Ask the ecopark about current entry, authorised drop-off and access to the woodland departure. Continue towards the Dance Floor and Idol on foot: the mountain path is not assumed to provide vehicle access.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Agree a specific vehicle-storage space on the lower Warm Lakes side independently. Ecopark accommodation conditions do not automatically establish public parking at the mountain departure.

Historical bridge descriptions do not confirm current conditions; decline dangerous crossings in high water. In winter and spring, the slope above the viewpoint has avalanche hazards. Do not bypass unverified connections between woodland sections directly across steep slopes.
