Route description

The mountain side of the Argut begins with upper Tekelu and two distinct saddles, Sullu-Boch and Suluayry. Each watershed changes the view: the nearby stream first holds your attention, then the valleys on both sides of the pass invite a closer look. Gradually, smaller mountain waters give way to the Argut, which lends the farther part of the journey a different scale. Choose this outing to discover the Katun Range through a sequence of walks and overnight stops. The valleys themselves provide the interest, rather than one compulsory famous summit. Select a continuous itinerary and an exit to transport with your guide beforehand. These mountain directions relate to the broader Great Mountain Journey programme, without implying that its entire course is included here.
