Route description

Lake Artemyeva marks the beginning of the mountain portion of this older forest descent. The water gives the outing a clear point of interest before the wooded slopes lead towards Arshan’s foothills. Farther down, Gabanov Street Street becomes the village-side objective. The crossing of the Second Shikhtolayka is another defining part of the passage. Forest approaches and river channels give the journey its character alongside the lake itself. This older option needs the connections and the condition of the altered terrain established before departure. Choose it within a prepared mountain outing, with a lake approach and permitted return already agreed. That leaves time beside the water while preserving enough daylight and energy for the forest section.

Nearby

Kazinachikov’s later option changes the upper approach and river crossings and has a separate card. The circuit via Kyngarga and Artemovsky Pass is a different mountain trip; its timing does not apply here. Bronenosets and Arshan Peak are not included summit visits. Old gazebo and camp references do not establish current overnight facilities. Swimming and safe untreated lake water are unconfirmed.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Transport directly to the mountain start is unconfirmed. Reaching Arshan is a separate part of the trip, followed by a prepared approach to the lake. Choose return departures after planning the full outing; a precise stop at the finish is not verified here.
By car
End the road journey in Arshan at the agreed beginning of the overall hike. The upper start is beside a mountain lake, without confirmed car drop-off access. Plan the lake approach and return to the vehicle separately.
Parking
Parking directly beside the lake or at this version’s Gabanov Street endpoint is unverified. Ask your accommodation or the chosen location’s owner whether leaving a car in the village is permitted. A forest-road entrance does not establish parking permission.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 63 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Confirm the entire permitted passage before planning the outing. The older author account reports mudflow damage, off-trail movement beside the Second Shikhtolayka and a missing connection near Artemyeva. Those historical observations do not establish today’s condition. Clarify unfamiliar sections rather than following them automatically, and do not rely on an always-safe ford or working bridge. Mountain experience, navigation and a turn-back option are needed. Obtain national park permission and establish an authorised route.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 38 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A verified duration for a continuous descent is unavailable. Allow separately for reaching the lake, the upper woodland passage, unclear connections and the foothill exit to Gabanov Street. The one-day label describes these sections rather than guaranteeing the whole outing and return in one day. Preserve daylight instead of searching for an unplanned continuation.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
For walking, favour dry snow-free conditions after checking paths and river levels. Prolonged rain, fresh snow and ice change slope and crossing conditions. A winter option and restoration of the older path are unverified. Check national park restrictions for your departure date.
