Route description

Lake Artemyeva and the forest approach from Gabanov Street are brought together in this later option by Kazinachikov. The upper portion begins near the lake and follows its valley, while the foothill approach encounters the Second Shikhtolayka. The Artemyeva River adds another distinct water crossing between wooded slopes. The lake surroundings, stream and forest road each give the journey a different focus. Compared with the older approach, the author proposed different crossing locations. Explore it as a separate choice of passage, giving both rivers their own attention. Before setting out, establish the order of the upper and foothill sections and their permitted connections. That prepared plan leaves time to appreciate the lake while keeping energy for the onward return.

Nearby

The older Gabanov Street option differs in its upper portions and missing connection near Artemyeva and is not automatically a verified alternative descent. The circuit via Kyngarga and Artemovsky Pass needs a separate itinerary. Bronenosets and Arshan Peak are not visited by this version. Old camps, swimming and safe untreated water are unconfirmed.

Getting there

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The upper and foothill portions run in different directions; an unambiguous continuous itinerary is not established. Clarify the permitted connection and order before departure and retain an alternative plan. Assess both river crossings against current water conditions. An old ford reference or a mapped bridge does not establish a safe present crossing. The author’s convenient-route description is historical. Obtain national park permission and avoid unauthorised bypasses.

How much time to allow

A verified estimate for the full continuous outing is unavailable. Plan the upper passage, separate Gabanov Street approach, connection, lake rest and village exit under the agreed itinerary. The final mountain endpoint does not establish a completed return to Arshan. A one-day label still requires calculation of the entire outing and daylight reserve.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry snow-free conditions make woodland passage and river assessment more straightforward. After rain, check both crossings and the slopes separately. Winter passage and present continuity of every connection are unverified. Check park restrictions before travel.
