Route description

From Khuray-Khobok’s edge, this walking approach follows a forest road and then climbs towards Silver Lake. Higher up, the author’s variant leaves the usual passage and reaches an ascending gully. It finishes at the mountain lake’s shore, where you can pause and examine the rocky surroundings. The return is outside this version. Before travelling, agree the exact approach, permit and access conditions for your date with Tunkinsky National Park. The park has imposed temporary restrictions and organised visits with certified guides; historical independent travel does not confirm present availability. Changing from forest road to mountain slope requires confident navigation. Plan a safe descent and retain daylight before approaching the lake.
