Route description

Water and stops in old towns provide a rewarding way into Polesie. Leaving Bereza, you encounter the Yaselda and later the Pina, while town sections link Drogichin’s Presentation Church with Butrimovich Palace in Pinsk. Give these places more than a passing glance: stop in an authorised place and look at the buildings from the street before resuming the ride. Turov is a good reason to make one stage less hurried. All Saints Church and the nearby Stone Cross shift attention from steady pedalling to local cultural memory. Familiar names become individual objects beside the road, without needing miraculous promises. The later journey goes through Petrikov, with Ascension Church, towards Rabkor. Several overnight stops and an arranged return make the idea work: impressions have time to become a story instead of merging into a single long day. Establish current access to water and the conditions of rural sections before departure.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The historical author’s plan linked arrival to Bereza-Gorod station and departure to Rabkor. Recheck both rail connections, bicycle carriage and time for the last transfer. Book delivery if suitable services are unavailable; the old timetable is not today’s timetable.
By car
Settle collection after the ride before arranging access to Bereza. The journey starts and finishes in different places. Agree intermediate meeting points around settlements and check the chosen street rather than assuming a vehicle can reach every riverbank.
Parking
An officially confirmed place for storing a car over several days at the selected start has not been found. Agree terms with an accommodation host or local services and obtain permission for a specific space. A verge, unagreed yard or river access should not be assumed to provide parking.

SurfaceAsphalt 50%, Compacted dirt 9%, Improved surface 3%, Unknown 33%.
Риски Sustained stages demand self-sufficiency between stops. Watch traffic, water reserves and the bicycle’s condition. Ferries and fords in older accounts require fresh checks. Replan the relevant section beforehand if a safe crossing is not established.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 2 d 9 h
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Exploring Polesie | a multiday cycling journey Choose confirmed overnight places first, then divide the riding. Pinsk and Turov deserve time to explore on foot, and Petrikov a relaxed church stop. The group’s abilities and present conditions determine the number of days; allow a return-travel reserve for Rabkor.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
In snow-free conditions, check rural roads and water levels first. Spring flooding and prolonged rain may require different approaches to crossings. In hot weather, ride earlier; with short autumn daylight, decide the stage’s end in advance.
