Route description

This local Alatau Amanaty stage introduces the lake country from Kurmety village. It climbs the gorge, crosses the mountain surroundings of Saty and arrives at Kaindy. At the destination, spruce trees are no longer confined to the shore: their pale trunks stand in the water, recalling the earthquake that changed this valley. Choose the stage for time among neighbouring gorges and a relaxed arrival, with accommodation and return transport agreed beforehand.

Arrange a ride to Kurmety through accommodation or a local guide. After visiting Kaindy, an agreed pickup and return to Saty is useful. Regular transport reaching both ends of this mountain stage has not been confirmed.
By car
Begin at Kurmety; the upper field road needs a capable high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle. The Kaindy approach from Saty uses another road. Clarify with your driver which valley is used for drop-off and where pickup happens.
Parking
Arrange multi-day car storage in Kurmety before walking. Remote stretches of the field road are not established guarded parking. At Kaindy, use the parking location indicated by a park employee.
