Route description

The way to Teke-Tor follows Alamedin’s broad river valley before entering a closer side gorge. At first, take in the slopes and moving water below. Later the walk becomes more focused: the path rises, stones appear, and the falling stream draws your attention at the waterfall. Pause here before beginning the descending return. This version leads from the lower approach to the actual Teke-Tor, also called Alamedin Waterfall. Its final section is noticeably steeper than the main river walk. The return to the valley is additional, so preserve energy and daylight for it. Alamedin’s upper lakes and passes belong to different treks.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
A verified scheduled service directly to the lower beginning is unestablished. The local firsthand guide describes arranged transfers from Bishkek. Agree both journeys and a clear meeting point on the accessible road; a one-way ride does not arrange departure after the waterfall.
By car
The Bishkek vehicle approach passes Kok-Jar, Besh-Küngöy, Tash-Moynok and Koy-Tash. Continue from Koy-Tash into Alamedin valley after agreeing the final road point with your driver. Walk onward to the waterfall; the Gornaya Mayovka road is a different branch.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. The guide describes leaving a vehicle in the lower valley, but today’s permitted space for this beginning and storage arrangements need checking. Keep building access clear; waterfall-side vehicle parking is unestablished.

Риски First check the bridge and access to the walking side of the valley. Stones at the waterfall may be wet and the short final slope needs descending care. Winter and thaw bring ice accumulations and falling ice; avoid standing beneath the stream for photographs. Heavy rain calls for reassessing the water-side plan.
