Route description

This long approach reaches Kyzyl-Oi from the northwestern mountain side. The village comes at the end, making the gradual return from mountain ground to an inhabited valley the defining experience. Pause at the named Colors of Nature viewpoint beside the final section before continuing towards the village surroundings. Kyzyl-Oi stands beside the Kokomeren in a distinctive red-mountain setting. Its ending can suit a prearranged stay with local hosts, although guesthouse accommodation and onward travel are additional arrangements. Reach the high beginning independently and choose overnight places before departure. This substantial mountain passage differs from a short village return walk.
