Route description

From the Alamedin valley, this proposal approaches Left Alamedin Glacier and West Tuyuk-Tor Pass, also known as Jurmala. Beyond the saddle lies the Natalia Glacier side. The subsequent mountain passage leads towards Toktogul and its glacier, then upper Ala-Archa. These named glaciers and passes reveal the connections between Kyrgyz Range valleys through their high watersheds. An abandoned Upper Ala-Archa hut stands beside the upper path. View it outside without making it the basis of an overnight plan. In the selected version, a northern descent is followed by a separate ending back in the upper valley; the connecting passage is unconfirmed. First develop a coherent mountain plan with a real continuous exit. Prepared participants can then approach the outing as a journey where snow, glaciers and independent camping form part of the experience.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data An experienced mountain group needs glacier and rope skills. Prepare the lower-gorge approach, overnight places and continuous exit beyond the high crossing beforehand; the final link is unconfirmed. The version is unsuitable for a children’s leisure walk, complete bicycle passage or stroller. Dog rules and reception are unestablished.

Nearby

Georgy Sedov, Bash-Ala-Archa and Traveller passes, Toktogul summit and Nomads Peak belong to separate mountain directions. Lower Teke-Tor Waterfall and Ala-Archa park walks have independent approaches. Add them only after establishing the main continuous exit.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
A current direct scheduled service to the selected mountain beginning is unconfirmed. Arrange delivery to an accessible lower Alamedin approach and an additional walk. Agree collection on the other side of the range only after designing a real descent; the separate upper ending is not an established transport point.
By car
The lower Alamedin approach comes from Bishkek through Koy-Tash. The road does not reach the icy sections or resolve the crossing to Ala-Archa. Agree lower arrival and separate collection following a chosen permitted descent beforehand.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Arrange lower-side vehicle storage before departure, accounting for return from another gorge. Vehicle access beside the abandoned upper hut is unestablished.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 3734 м.
SurfaceDirt 16%, Gravel 12%, Improved surface 3%, Unknown 69%.
Риски Establish a continuous ending beforehand: a safe link between the northern descent and the separate upper section is unconfirmed. Glaciers require crevasse, snow-bridge and protection assessments; passes need checks for loose rock and snow slopes. Lower valleys include a water crossing and damaged old roads. Inspect present bridges and water conditions locally. Do not rely on the abandoned hut as emergency shelter without examining it; a weather reserve and independent camping are essential.

How much time to allow

Расчётное время в пути 1 d 2 h

Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished This is a preliminary multi-day mountain outing. A day-by-day plan is not established. Design acclimatization, overnight locations, glacier crossings and a continuous descent before choosing the duration. Other groups’ historic reports and the existence of a hut do not establish this version’s schedule.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a settled summer high-mountain window after checking both passes and the glaciers. Snow, exposed ice and crevasses change during the season. A green lower valley does not establish safe saddle conditions; autumn snowfall may require a complete change of plan.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Mountain boots, poles, helmet, crampons, ice axe, harness and rope equipment under the leader’s plan.
Tent, warm sleeping system, reserve food and water-treatment equipment.
First-aid kit, headlamps, sun protection, detailed real-exit mapping and emergency communication.
Equipment must support independent camping without the abandoned hut.
