Route description

From Kislovodsk railway station, the ride gradually leaves the spa-town streets for open mountain country. Beyond the city it follows the Kichi-Balyk–Bermamyt direction, where ground and weather influence progress far more than below. Monks Rock Pillars appear near the end: two slender stone columns beside the plateau edge. Examine them from safe ground rather than approaching the drop for a photograph. Bermamyt is interesting for its eroded rock shapes as well as distant Elbrus views. This bicycle approach is one way; arrange the return to Kislovodsk as a separate part of the day. A ski-slope name in the author’s plan does not establish a prepared winter cycling path.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - Yes With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The railway start is convenient, but leaving the plateau requires arranged collection or a separately planned return. This is a lengthy mountain ride for an experienced cyclist, with pushing where ground is poor. It is unsuitable as a children’s leisure outing or for a stroller. Dog rules and reliable plateau reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Bermamyt’s Amphitheatre, the metal platform above the drop and other rock viewpoints need separate safe approaches. Khasaut and the Narzan Valley are independent return directions excluded from this bicycle approach.

Getting there

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Beyond the city, expect uneven dirt roads, sharp bends, oncoming off-road vehicles and wind in exposed ground. Another electric bicycle’s battery experience does not determine your range. Keep back from plateau drops because rock edges can fail. Fog removes landmarks and mountain views; decide in advance when to stop the ascent.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The regional publisher favours the warm season, but recent weather and dirt-road condition matter more than the calendar. Choose dry snow-free ground for cycling and recheck after heavy rain. The plateau can be cold even in summer; winter travel needs independent preparation.
