Route description

Telety connects two contrasting valleys: the wooded upper reaches of Karakol and the open country of Jeti-Oguz. This version gives time to its approaches as well as the pass, including returns to previously visited sections. It begins on the Karakol side and finishes in upper Jeti-Oguz. Choose it for time in the mountains, with no need to rush towards the resort’s red rocks or combine the walk with a city excursion.

Kok-Zhaiyk and the resort area lie farther down Jeti-Oguz Valley and can form a separate conclusion after the mountain walk. Ala-Kul is another crossing from the Karakol side.

By car
