Route description

Between the former valley ranger lodge and Trzydniówka, the road passes the streams of Chochołowska. Starorobociański Potok joins the main valley here, helping reveal how neighbouring mountain directions connect. This short outing returns towards the familiar valley junction, allowing another pause beside the water and woodland path. It works as a small part of a longer Chochołowska walk after approaching from Siwa Polana, without continuing towards high summits.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Published buses serve Siwa Polana, followed by a valley approach. Leashed dogs are permitted on the main road, without permission for side mountain paths. Cycling is allowed on the main green road; treat small walking branches and rocky places separately under their rules. Strollers need assessment of uneven ground. Coverage is unconfirmed.

Nearby

Main Polana Chochołowska and its hut lie farther along the valley, outside this short return. Trzydniowiański, Ornak and Siwa Przełęcz are reached on separate mountain directions; a short valley walk does not establish readiness for them.

Getting there

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 41 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow around 35–60 minutes for this short return outing with pauses. The Siwa Polana approach and lower-valley return are additional: allow roughly four to five hours overall at a relaxed pace. This excludes a Trzydniowiański ascent.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry, snow-free weather. Stone paving becomes slippery after rain; check ice and mud in spring or autumn. Winter valley visits also need equipment suited to the surface, rather than an assessment based only on the summer walk.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear with a grippy sole.
Water, snack and clothing for the complete valley approach.
Rain protection and a warm layer.
