Route description

In Komarovo, a walk towards the Gulf of Finland can include a careful exterior look at historic dachas from permitted streets. Yukhnevich Dacha on Morskaya Street, Polikarpov Dacha and Tomars Dacha show a concrete side of the celebrated settlement: individual houses beside the passage rather than a complete literary itinerary. Chizhov Fountain, Rusalochy Pond and Villa Reno Park suggest the area’s former country-house setting before the walk reaches the open shore. This extended outing has several approaches and returns and includes parts of Komarovo Shore. It does not reproduce the shorter official nature trail in full. Use marked authorised passages and keep outside private fences when looking at houses. Allow time for different sides of Komarovo rather than searching for one museum entrance covering every dacha. Protect dune vegetation on the coast and keep to woodland paths. Swimming and admission inside buildings are not included.

Komarovo Cemetery and Shchuchye Lake require a separate walk towards another side of the settlement. Choose literary memorials using their own checked itinerary. Following this outing does not authorise entry to private houses or gardens.

Without a car
The reserve recommends trains from Finland Station to Komarovo Station. The lower dacha streets and shore require an onward walk; the outing does not begin on the platform. Check return departures and allow time to reach the station again.
By car
Published road approaches use Primorskoye or Zelenogorskoye Highway. Identify an authorised drop-off and the approach to Morskaya Street before arrival. Keep vehicles outside the protected woodland.
Parking
The official layout identifies designated spaces beside Primorskoye Highway. Choose an available place using the reserve’s current information. Parking on Morskaya Street is prohibited; keep private entrances and woodland passages clear.
