Route description

On the eastern rim of Cirque-3, Aibga Pass brings the resort and its mountain setting into close contact. From the saddle the path descends into the bowl beneath Black Pyramid, towards the lower Iceberg lift area. Steep slopes remain above while the cirque offers a place to pause and look back towards the pass. Treat this walk as one section of a mountain day planned in advance.

Confident mountain walking and energy for the approach to the pass are needed. The operator specifies that children aged seven to sixteen must be accompanied by adults; confirm admission for this trail before buying tickets. Dog admission and continuous mobile coverage are unconfirmed. Hunting dog breeds are prohibited in the national park; the park recommends leaving other pets at home too. Check any additional rules for the specific outing with the operator.

Nearby

Iceberg Lake and Sedoy Pass have separate trails in Cirque-3. Each requires an additional approach and an opening check. An ascent of Black Pyramid is also a separate undertaking; it is not included in this section from Aibga Pass to the lower part of the cirque.

Without a car
Take a Lastochka train to Rosa Khutor station and walk to the base of Krasnaya Polyana resort. This reaches the resort rather than the mountain trail: lifts and permitted paths are still needed. Check train times and operating lift connections before travelling.
By car
Drive to Krasnaya Polyana resort in Esto-Sadok. Leave the car at the base and plan access to Cirque-3 through operating lifts and approved paths.
Parking
Ask the resort where you may leave a car during the walk and check the conditions for your visit. Do not plan to drive a private vehicle to the pass.
