Route description

The road to Nakhazo requires a Rosa Khutor guide. This version begins in the Rosa Peak area, crosses Krasivy Pass and heads towards Aibga’s southern side. Open mountain scenery gradually gives way to the quieter surroundings of the camp. Nakhazo provides a clear destination where you can pause and enjoy the mountain setting without continuing to walk. Accommodation is booked separately and is not automatically included in the outing.

Route suitability

A guide is compulsory; agree children’s age and fitness when booking. The camp is reached on foot from the resort, but continuous mobile coverage is not guaranteed. Dog admission is unconfirmed. Hunting dog breeds are prohibited in the national park; the park recommends leaving other pets at home too. Check any additional rules for the specific outing with the operator.

Nearby

Turya Road continues from Nakhazo towards Green Wedge Pass, but at review the operator announces resumption in the next summer season. It is not an automatically available extension. A separate Stone Pillar ascent also requires confirmed opening of the upper Violet trail.

What to expect

Places

Difficult sections and safety

Elevation gain
Open ground is exposed to wind, thunder and fog; the guide decides whether conditions permit the outing. Avoid switchback shortcuts and independent branches outside the agreed excursion. Return planning is as important as the approach: normal town transport cannot be relied on at the camp.

How much time to allow

Allow about three to four hours for this version from the Rosa Peak area to Nakhazo with stops. The published two hours fifteen minutes applies to the shorter main road from lower Krokus and does not cover the full approach. Walking back needs an additional reserve of about three to four hours. Your guide sets the complete day plan. Book any overnight stay separately in the camp rather than camping at arbitrary points on the trail.

Best time to go

The passport gives June to October, with actual opening decided by the resort. Choose a clear day after the guided outing and upper paths have been confirmed. Residual snow may remain early in the season; autumn requires attention to changing weather and lift operation.

What to bring
