Route description

From Baumgartnerhof, the passage climbs towards Jepca Pass and Kresišče on the border mountain side. After the open summit, it crosses Sedlič towards Srednji Vrh, then reaches the Kranjska Gora valley. This Austria-to-Slovenia journey gradually exchanges the upper ridge for woodland, village roads and the valley settlement. This version contains repeated passages and is wider than the usual one-way Alpe Adria programme. Select the sequence and ending beforehand. Kranjska Gora offers a practical onward departure, while arrival at the Austrian beginning remains a separate task. Carry the documents required for your cross-border journey and check current entry arrangements applicable to you.

Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 2244 м.
SurfaceDirt 11%, Dirt / grass 11%, Gravel 11%, Unknown 60%.
Риски The exposed upper part catches wind, while the long descent adds fatigue after climbing. Repeated passages need extra energy allowance. Distinguish border junctions carefully in fog and avoid unfamiliar descent shortcuts.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 13 h 24 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan this multi-day version with repeated passages independently of the standard stage. A confirmed day-by-day schedule and overnight count are unavailable. Use safe endings and agreed accommodation, allowing for weather and valley departure.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry snow-free ridge conditions are preferable. Snow and ice can remain above the forest while the valley is green. Check both sides rather than relying only on the Kranjska Gora forecast.
