Route description

From Puntiró, this bicycle direction passes through Pòrtol, the pottery village in Marratxí, then continues into the countryside north of it. The village streets provide a distinct cultural stop: a living ceramic tradition continues here, while workshop visits require separate arrangements. Beyond Pòrtol, the outing leaves the denser settlement again. The finish lies farther north; organise the separate return to the start before setting off.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Combine a short inland Mallorca ride with an introduction to its pottery heritage. Dismount in Pòrtol and give the village some time before continuing to the northern finish. To see a craftsperson at work, contact a specific olleria in advance: passing through the village does not include a pottery-making demonstration.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car: Hard With children: With caution With a dog: No data By bike: Yes With a stroller: No data Mobile signal: No data The cycling direction includes street traffic and different endpoints. Assess a child’s riding skills and local conditions first; a protected children’s cycle path throughout has not been established. Transport to the southern start and return from the northern finish need separate solutions. Stroller access along the whole direction has not been surveyed.

Nearby

Olleria Can Bernadí in Cals Ollers is slightly off the cycling passage; allow a separate approach and check workshop access. La Trinitat wayside shrine is also outside this version. Garriga de Son Caulelles is a separate natural area: it remains beyond this outing, so arrange any visit independently.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
TIB341 serves Pòrtol and Pòrtol Nou and connects them with other Marratxí settlements. It supports planning arrival at the village, but does not establish a stop at the southern Puntiró start or directly at the northern finish. Arrange the full approach and return separately. Check bicycle carriage and your selected service with the operator.
By car
For a ride starting at Puntiró, arrange a drop-off at the southern start and collection or your own return after the northern finish. Choose a legal place to unload the bicycle. A rural lane does not establish car access to every section, and stopping beside private gates needs separate permission.
Parking
Verified dedicated parking at both ends has not been established. Ask where you may legally leave a car during the ride. Respect signs and private entrances. Do not rely on workshop parking without the owner’s agreement or on space beside a countryside turn.

SurfaceAsphalt 77%, Artificial surface 1%, Unknown 23%.
Риски Watch for cars and side entrances on ordinary roads. Slow down at village junctions and near pedestrians. The rural continuation and return may be less obvious than the passage through Pòrtol: check the junctions and current signs beforehand. Do not bypass closed gates through private property.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 4 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan a one-day bicycle outing, allowing extra time for Pòrtol and the return from the northern finish. An olleria visit adds time and depends on arrangements. Starting from a village bus stop changes the starting point; allow separately for any approach to Puntiró.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather without severe heat for the countryside ride. An early start suits warm days; leave daylight for the return in cooler months. Rain may reduce grip on individual lanes. Check workshop visiting arrangements separately from the weather.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
A bicycle with sound brakes and a helmet
Water and sun protection
A map of rural junctions
Lights and visible clothing
A pump and repair kit
A lock for a separate village visit
