Route description

From Alaró, the road heads south into the countryside around Santa Maria del Camí. It crosses the seasonal Marranxa watercourse near the town departure, then leaves denser streets for named rural localities. Nearby Ses Fontanelles is known for discoveries of lead plates with Hebrew inscriptions, adding another perspective on inland Mallorca. The ride finishes north of Santa Maria’s centre. Arrange the continuation to the town square and the return to Alaró separately.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car: Hard With children: With caution With a dog: No data By bike: Yes With a stroller: No data Mobile signal: No data The short ride needs confidence on ordinary roads and a return solution from its separate endpoint. A fully protected cycle passage has not been established. Assess traffic and a child’s riding skills locally. Riding through the countryside does not establish permission to enter private estates.

Nearby

Ses Fontanelles lies beside the countryside road, but public entry to the archaeological property has not been established; arrange any approach separately. The inscribed lead plates belong to the Mallorca Museum collection in Palma; ask whether they are currently displayed. In Alaró, visit Sant Bartomeu Church and the old Manxa del Porrossar well on a separate walk; do not treat its water as drinking water. Alaró Castle requires its own mountain outing.
