Route description

Ride up from the Sóller valley along the old hairpin road towards Coll de Sóller, then return along the familiar direction. Before the upper turn, the route passes Creu des Coll and the historic Font de la Reina, whose name recalls Isabella II’s visit. This version turns below the saddle itself: it introduces the old pass road without including the final bends to the pass sign.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
This is a road ride with a climb and a return descent. Confident handling, sound brakes and experience beside cars are necessary. It is unsuitable for an ordinary children’s outing. Riding from accommodation in the valley avoids a car; carrying a bicycle on a bus needs separate checking.

Nearby

Coll de Sóller itself is beyond the upper turn and needs a separate continuation along the old road. Es Pujol d’en Banya viewpoint is off the cycling line; stopping on a road bend does not establish access to it. Visit central Sóller or Port de Sóller afterwards with an additional journey.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
TIB204 connects Sóller with Palma and Port de Sóller. Sóller centre1 is in town, beyond the lower start, so allow for an additional approach. The line page does not establish bicycle carriage on your chosen service: check before booking or arrange a bicycle in the valley. Consult the timetable for the travel date.
By car
Arrive in the Sóller valley and choose a lower point where you can legally start cycling. After returning, add the onward ride to your chosen car space. Select parking and unloading arrangements beyond the traffic lane. The old pass road carries general traffic; a cycling outing does not make it closed to cars.
Parking
Verified dedicated parking at the lower start has not been established. Ask where you can legally leave a car in the valley for the outing. Follow signs and local restrictions. Do not treat a space beside a historic feature or a widening on a bend as permission to park.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 896 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 94%.
Риски Keep a steady climbing pace and check brakes and luggage before descending. Share the bends with other road users, stay on your side and avoid stopping beyond a blind corner. Pause near monuments only after leaving the traffic lane safely. Use the old pass road rather than the vehicle tunnel.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 2 h 41 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan a one-day ride with time for the climb, the two historic stops and the return descent. The approach from central Sóller is additional. This version turns below the saddle; any continuation to the pass sign requires a separate plan and enough energy for the return.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry weather and good visibility suit the old road. Start before the heat in warm weather and account for cooler conditions on the descent. Assess grip after rain and postpone during wind that makes handling difficult. Check current road restrictions.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
A road bicycle with checked brakes
A helmet and visible clothing
Water and a small food reserve
A light warm layer for the descent
Lights and a charged phone
A pump, repair kit and suitable spare inner tube
