Route description

This bicycle outing introduces Inca through its crafts and old town squares. Pause beside the bronze shoemakers at Sa Quartera: the two figures recall the people whose handwork became part of the town’s history. In the centre, Sant Domingo’s stone façade and Santa Maria la Major beside its namesake square provide distinct cultural stops. Ordinary town streets connect them before the outing returns towards its starting area. Discover inland Mallorca at an everyday pace, with brief pauses beside buildings and sculptures.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Look closely at the two shoemakers in Plaça de la Quartera, then compare the façades of Sant Domingo and Santa Maria la Major. Small details reward attention, so dismount for cultural stops. If the church is open, a separate interior visit offers the Gothic image of the Virgin painted by Joan Daurer. Ask the parish about admission and visiting hours in advance.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The city ride suits cyclists confident in street traffic. Assess a child’s skills and choose a safe order for cultural stops; the entire version is unsuitable for inexperienced independent riding. Train arrival is possible, but check bicycle carriage. Stroller access along the whole direction has not been surveyed.

Nearby

Sant Bartomeu Monastery and Sant Francesc’s church and cloister are beyond this cycling direction and suit a separate walk. Add the Footwear and Industry Museum after returning, checking its opening arrangements. The municipal heritage walk has a broader selection of stops than this version.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Inca Estació serves rail lines T1, T2 and T3. Allow for a separate approach from the station to the outing’s start. Check bicycle carriage rules and restrictions on your selected train before taking your own bike. Consult the timetable for the travel date; the cultural stops do not depend on one particular service.
By car
Arrive in Inca and choose a legal place to begin riding in town. The street route returns close to its start, although your chosen car space may require an additional approach. Follow current pedestrian restrictions in central streets and walk your bicycle where necessary.
Parking
Verified dedicated parking at this version’s start has not been established. Ask where you may leave a car in Inca for the required period. Check current signs, charges and time limits. Church squares and space beside sculptures do not establish permission to park.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 114 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 67%, Paving stones 16%, Unknown 17%.
Риски Leave space at junctions and beside parked cars, watching for traffic from the side. The entire town direction is not a separate cycle path. Dismount to examine churches and sculptures or cross busy squares, giving pedestrians room. Current one-way streets and restrictions may require changes to the order of individual streets.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 18 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan a one-day town outing. Add time for the three cultural stops and the approach from the station. Schedule any church or cloister visit around its opening arrangements: a visible façade does not guarantee an open interior. Start and finish are close, so transport between distant ends is unnecessary.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather and a comfortable time for city riding. Early morning suits hot days; account for limited daylight in the cooler season. Handle smooth paving and road markings carefully after rain. Check street restrictions when town events are taking place.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
A sound town bicycle and helmet
A lock for cultural stops
Water and sun protection
Lights and visible clothing
A phone with a town map
A small repair kit
