Route description

From upper Kabak, coastal paths head towards Faralya with several passages returning over earlier ground. A branch reaches above Tektaş’s rocky shore before the walk returns to hillside connections over the sea. Sea air, pine slopes and small coves give this extended outing its character. More demanding mountain sections occur near the finish. A short passage close to Faralya is marked with restricted access, so a complete walk requires confirmation of a permitted connection beforehand.

Nearby

Kabak Beach, a separate Aktaş descent, local waterfalls and Lycian tombs lie outside the selected connections. Plan their visits and private beach-establishment access separately. The Tektaş branch ends above the rocky shoreline edge without establishing an easy swimming approach. Butterfly Valley also requires its own safe visit plan.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Service 3-42 links Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Faralya and Kabak. For this direction, arrive in upper Kabak and plan the return from Faralya. Include separate approaches between road arrival points and the walking departure and finish. Check the final services and allow time for the coastal return passages.
By car
End the road journey in upper Kabak, reached through Ölüdeniz and Faralya. After walking, arrange a return from Faralya to your vehicle. The coastal walking passage is unsuitable for vehicle accompaniment. Private guesthouse access roads and closed paths do not establish a freely available bypass.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Agree an authorised place and all-day conditions in upper Kabak before leaving. Keep local passages clear. A separate road journey from the Faralya finish is needed to reach the vehicle.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceSand 32%, Dirt 8%, Paving stones 7%, Unknown 51%.
Риски Mountain coast paths include uneven and slippery ground. A rope-assisted section is mapped on the approach towards Faralya; its current condition is unconfirmed. A short passage closer to the village has restricted access: establish permission or an authorised alternative before departure. Do not bypass a restriction through private property. Swimming and additional beach descents need their own assessment of sea and shore conditions.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 9 h 13 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The full time for this variation, its numerous return passages and a permitted finish connection is not established. Reserve an entire daylight day and start early. Timing for the ordinary direct connection does not cover this outing. Resolve access near Faralya beforehand, and add allowances for shore pauses, separate beach approaches and transport waiting.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Cool, dry spring and autumn days with settled weather and clear visibility are preferable. The Fethiye network generally recommends February–June and September–November; check access to particular forest sections separately. Postpone demanding shore sections after rain or in strong coastal winds.
